Top 5 Common Traits Between Harry Potter and Daenerys Targaryen

As we know that Game of Thrones and Harry Potter have been the most decorated literary works, which have been adopted into wonderful art of acting, CGI, suspense and thrill. Talking about the protagonists of the two shows, we have Daenerys Stormborn from Game of Thrones, based on the book titled ' A Song Of Fire and Ice ' and Harry James Potter, from the literary work of J. K. Rowling. Two preeminent characters of their individual series and the limelight of the shows have something in common. Without a further ado, we discuss here the resemblance between the two.

1. SINGLE HEIR TO A LEGEND 

Daenerys Targaryen is the dragon blood of the Targaryen family who have been ruling on the Iron Throne until the ' Mad King ', and father of Daenerys, Aerys Targaryen was murdered by Kingslayer. Now Deanerys is on the journey to conquer the Iron Throne, which once belonged to their family and being the Dragon Queen, she has the winning edge ( since Winter is Coming ! we have to look forward for the battle). So born to a legend and in the family of Royal Dragon Blood, she has a legacy bestowed on her and she is perceptive enough to understand the pawns and kings of the battle. Now talking about the Harry, who was the same age as that of Daenerys (in books), is a famous son of wizards of the Order of Phoenix, named James Potter and Lily Potter. After the escape from the Godric's Hollow, he is a single heir to the legends who died while fighting with the Dark Lord and he was the only one who escaped the curse. So technically both the characters have a great legacy, their parents have died and they are striving to fight what is waiting for them in the outside world.

2. MERCY FOR THE SUFFERERS

Both the characters have a kind heart for those who are unable to free themselves from the chains of bad fortune. Since they look the world with the eye of Noah, they seem to be loved by all. Daenerys has been titled the ' Mhysa ' or the Mother ( breaker of chains ). This makes her question that whether she is a conqueror or the liberator. But she is the Queen, the 'Khaleesi'. Now Harry is a wizard, who just like his parents, wants to fight the Voldemort ( pronounced as Vol-de-mor ) even when everyone in the ministry are enslaved by his forces. The eyes of her mother is full of tranquility and mercy. Whenever his friends are in danger or even his arch enemies like Malfoy, he is there on the flight of broom to protect them.

3. BRAINS AND NOT THE FORCE THAT MATTER

Both the characters are perceptive, adaptive and diligent enough to see the cunning nature of the world. While one is the master of political affairs and mother of dragons and even not using th force of dragons, other one rests on the power of his friends and the core strength lies in the ' Army of Dumbledore'. Since their enemies mostly rely on the core of force, they tread their way through thoughts and  planning.

4. FROM MEEK TO POWERFUL 

From nearly the orphan's fate to the one being the queen of the great empire in the Westros and other being the master of the duel between the dark forces, is the heroic deed of these two characters. Being the motivation plight for many, these characters highlight the core strength of leadership and verify that leaders are not born but made. Yet being born in the family of silver spoon, they haven't enjoy the fruits of their family but they were dragged and chained in the quagmire of sacrifices and slaughter by the hatred enemies.

5. HARBINGER OF PEACE 

After their heart drenched with the bloody fate of near ones, both characters sought to bring peace to their respective fantasy world. While their parents still reside in their hearts but the fresh graves have deep impact on them. For Harry Dobby, Dumbledore, Sirius Black were the ones he lost in the war and for Danny, her brother died while wishing for the golden crow and her sun and star ' Khal Drogo ' died in a fight for her. So both desire for peace, while one wish to be the conquerer and eradicate the evil while other forms an army, reunite them and destroy the evil forces ( are they really ! catch it here ).
