Sherlock vs Game of Thrones : Top 5 Reasons Describing Which is Most Anticipated
Two gladiators that have received a spotlight among the sea of TV shows are Sherlock and Game of Thrones. These have glued the eyes of viewers to their fantasy world and also have gained a lot of appreciation in various aspects of cinematography. The fans are waiting for the next seasons of both TV shows, which may pop up in year 2016 or even in 2017. The airing date of Sherlock's special episode has been finalized but the date for Sherlock Season 4 has yet to reach a verdict. For GoT fans, it's a journey to the Dead man's chest. So the hot topic for the discussion is that will these gladiators be able to continue to stay on the apex of success or they will end up being the sand dunes in the dusty wind. Since both the shows aims to perfect the art of 'Adapting books to Television', the periscope will revolve around these two only.
1. Return of Jon snow or Jim Moriarty- Who wins?
Hard to predict. Both are legendary and both have important timeline and both are dead anyways or alive! Still the camouflage of mystery surrounds both the characters and fans are cheering that Jon Snow is alive while Jim Moriarty isn't. One is savior and Knight of the Watch while other is a notorious leader without which Sherlock is incomplete ( contemporary to Batman and Joker ). Both are adored by their creators and we are sure that they will return in a dramatic way that will baffle even the predictors. So we have to wait and hope that the characters will come back to the journey or we have to lean on someone else . But the poll says :
WIN: Game of Thrones
2. Waiting Time : Does it matter?
Talking about the Sherlock, we have noticed that the fans are fuming with the amount of waiting time that they are going through. The detective series featuring Benedict Cumberbatch is a masterpiece of crime drama series, winning many awards worldwide and based upon the Novels of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, was aired in the year 2010, before GoT and even less number of episodes. But as the people say 'as an old wine', Sherlock tastes better. It has got less screen time with 9 episodes over a span of 4 years, yet delivering an outraged 'over flooded fence breaking followers'. Following up with GoT ,about 50 episodes have been reeled out and yet another 10 to come next year. So genuinely, the more the people wait and delivering a beast amount of story in less (screen) time achieves more fruits.
WIN: Sherlock
3. Which is more mysterious?
Diving more into the story line, GoT has it's own way of making their fans jump dead from their couches, getting their head spin and enabling constant eyeballing wile watching the screen about what just happened! How Sherlock faked his death was the question the previous year of release and it was the one of the main talking points and this year credit goes to Jim Moriarty. Though we get enough ravishing moments in Sherlock with more sophistication and mind boggling events ,but GoT has a pinch of "Everything can happen " and that is what we think is mysterious. Disastrous endings and spitting of warm blood on ice are part of charms of Game of Thrones. And the list goes on and on and every GoT fan has that list ( List of Spoilers is also included).
WIN: Game of Thrones
4. First Come First serve !
Sherlock special episode's airing date is finalized to be New Year Day and fans are exciting for the day with Sherlock. BBC will release it worldwide and we expect popularity hashtags of #sherlock with #NewYearDay on the release day. After that a year's wait or less (just like GoT) will make fans roar on social media to bring it as soon as possible ( Like Us!). Since both the shows are based on different genre but the idea of hitting the screen early with a special one seems like winning the race. And for Sherlock, #Sherlockfans are waiting since 2 years and just a one episode will be like a short lived popsicle, just to cheer up fans that Sherlock isn't dead.
WIN: Sherlock
5. Social Media rage
This is the trending face of popularity measurement. The more share, likes and comments, the more is the fan following. GoT is active in it's rumors and talks, letting a dim glimpse on it's daily chores while Sherlock appears with a blockbuster news, and every time with a new photo of insider's stuff. Still fans are humming and excited about both the drama series where one is based on crime and other on fantasy. The genre is different but the portrayal is epic and no one can match the hard work of teams of both the shows in order to make it so Legen...wait for it .... dary! Legendary ! ( I wish Barney might hook up some role in either of the show).
WIN: Unpredictable!
So the verdict is follow both of them and enjoy !
