FLASH TV Review : Why you should see this?
The red and yellow lighting blur, the red suit and the force speed. Those who were familiar with the Flash comics had this to look forward to. Finally a TV budget which is decent enough to give us a comically relaxed and dramatically emotional with a finch of speed.
Flash is a TV series resurrected in 2014 by The CW, based on the same DC cinematic Universe created by ARROW. Arrow being a dark and crime drama series, the hopes were really low and mixed from the arrow fans who felt manipulated that they had to watch the Flash too, for the shared story episodes.
Grant Gustin was first introduced in Arrow's second season 8th episode "The Scientist". The fans loved the easy and fresh Barry's take which was pretty justified to its origins. The next season of Arrow aired next to Flash.
Now, Flash is the alter ego of Barry Allen who got his superspeed in an accident where lighting struck him under special circumstances. The pilot episode was great, The character of Barry was rooted and developed characteristically. The way he solved crimes, little cliff-notes on the screen showing what he is thinking, was very smart way to take the audience for the ride, alas it wasn't showed again in future episodes.
Barry's powers and how he finds them with each episode was amazing. You would think ' Okay! so what, he can run fast!' there is lot more than that, he can run through walls, he can run in time. We anticipated these powers to come in future seasons, but the show runners just threw everything in this season.
I would agree if few of the first 7-8 episodes are bit draggy, but those are because Barry as Flash is still an infant and he is finding his powers, but then Harrison Wells comes along and does his thing and from there on, the graph just goes up. This TV series became one of the most interesting and comic-booky shows which gave the most satisfying endings.
Cisco's character started off as bit annoying but developed gradually into most relate-able character on the show. His references of the current pop culture and naming the super guys were most likeable on the show.
Overall, Flash is must watch show even if you don't to catch up Arrow first, Flash is a great standalone TV series.
