Reviewing Microsoft Vs Apple - Battle with new battleships in desktop arena

WINDOWS VS APPLE 

Two giants in the tech world, fighting for the top notch of the market are currently riding on the waves of the demand of the people and the battleships are being upgraded on both sides to carry more and more survivors of the market. The talks here will be from a specific context , that is , Venn diagram of Apple's OS X and Microsoft Windows 10. Review of phone market is currently liquid in state due to contenders of worldwide popular smartphone giants like Samsung , Xiaomi , HTC , Sony etc.The review will be solely from the personal experience and the pros and cons will be discussed in this article. 

Microsoft

WINDOWS 10 - Cortana, Edge, Multitasking windows, Store. These four words are self sufficient to recognize Windows 10. With a free upgradation this year, Microsoft launched its new version of Windows and still people are in dilemma whether to upgrade their older versions or not. 

PERFORMANCE- 

Windows 10 will perform better if you are using higher RAM, along with a Graphic Card installed in it. Although Iris graphic technology by the Intel will let you get a smooth experience but for a high end experience, a minimum 6 GB Ram and a 2 GB Ram Graphic card is required. This will enable you to have a glossy menu bar and the tranquil tile interface of Windows.

FEATURES- 

Interface gets a standing ovation as the widgets and apps which were distorted and looked liked a bunch of random cards on the table are now sleeked and cached into bundles which then branches out into something unexpected.New Start menu with the design integration of Windows 8 and Windows 7 has been intriguing.Not to forget the live tiles for sure.  Store UI is reformed and search and download interface is now easy to locate. It is faster and more user friendly, not to forget the quick access toolbar. During upgrade the sound, graphics and other drivers are automatically updated according to the software and hardware compatibility.

A good Internet connection will allow you to have a cunning and smart Cortana with which you can perform a number of tasks like opening an app, daily reminders, search places and alarms yes! even on your desktops. Each and every corner of the OS is in tile interface enabling Microsoft to have a unique design on variable platforms of phone, tablets ,and desktops. 

Cloud computing with the one drive is similar to the earlier version of Windows 8.1 and the feature of 'tablet mode' is ineffective in a desktop or a laptop with no touch feature, yet remarkably playing a herculean role in desktop and tablets. 

Control panel is now a smarter tool to use with the widgets now placed beautifully in nine tiles and each tile with its own specs.New icon and sound pack has been a trademark of Microsoft.

Edge has been quick. It's real quick.Like it is magically waiting to be opened soon. Internet Explorer has been an outdated project which is still in Windows 10 but remarkably edge is sleek, smart, lightning fast with the current news shown in the home bar. 

CONS-

The updated Windows 10 in phones that are about to take its fresh breathes in this winters are Microsoft's way for shouldering in his place in the field of handheld technologies, Microsoft was still years behind in giving us some decent apps for WiFi file sharing, Bluetooth, Instagram, Pinterest and many more. But who knows whats coming.It has been said that the department of developers will be more user friendly but nothing great of that sort has been simmering out in the market news.

No more major release will be there from the brand which means that events will purely be based on launch of new phones and tablets rather than focusing on the 40 years old hallmark of the company.So the new expectations will air towards the hardware aspect only ,though the software will also remain but only a trivial aspect as speculated. 

Apple

OS X El CAPITAN- 

Just like bringing some minor upgrades to Iphone 6 and launching the Iphone 6s this year, the Apple ,regarded as the genius of enticing branding and thus earning a major chunk of the profits of the smartphone industry,Apple presents you with its latest OS X El Capitan. This free upgrade will make you more productive with more time in pocket and thus will let you sip a coffee five minutes more when going to work .

PERFORMANCE-

No need to review performance. Apple has been at the apex in delivering high end user experience and this is what non-apple geeks crave for. Unix developed system with a touch of delicacy in both hardware and software and also in the arena of looks, a great deal of compactness and marvels of engineering to fit a machine into featherweight projection reflects the pursuit to a greatest vision of Steve Jobs.  

FEATURES-

So we have a new split view screen feature just like Windows 10 and why it shouldn't, i mean it has been there in Linux, but unlike Windows it allows only two at a time.Drag and dropping the window will able its users to adjust the work pane of the desktop.

Stacking is gone in this version as OS is smart to position apps in Mission Control based on their location in the desktop.It will be like a windows piled onto each other rather than pounds stacked in the wallet.

App launch has been great as compared to Windows and you can clearly differentiate it if you are using a Yosemite OS besides this.Boot time has also increased though in milliseconds, but a reason to be cheerful.  

Graphics has been immensely worked upon and loaded and Metal Graphics technology has been inducted to the Mac. 40 percent increase in efficiency and 50 percent increase in rendering performance seems a good reason to update. After all Apple has always been an admirer of delivering results quicker than a blink of an eye.

Battery life has been increased substantially , giving an exciting feature of pinned tabs which are live bookmarks for tabs. Generally it is a space that will be occupied by Facebook, YouTube etc.Spotlight has been given an updated look with increased response to natural language queries and search results within the desktop but still people want Siri to enter the world of mac's personal assistant. 

CONS-

Adding a desktop and closing it easy as an "X" will appear in the top-left corner of the thumbnail but the apps can't be closed in the same manner.Open the app and then close it , that's the only way friends.

Siri integration is still missing. Spotlight is enhanced this time but since Siri, being a revolution of digital personal assistant, will remain a broken end.Looking at the aspects Windows have a greater edge towards the win side because you are smart enough to consider the facts instead of the rumors and reviews of the naive users.
